Lori Winterstein
Lori maintains a private practice as a nutrition and lifestyle consultant and counselor. Offering a rare blend of scientific nutrition information along with psychological understanding and compassion, she assists individuals and groups to create insight, inner growth and behavioral change. She teaches and counsels weight-loss groups where she facilitates the creation and integration of holistic lifestyle change for permanent weight loss and health. She also very effectively counsels individuals with eating disorders, bipolar disorder, major depression, schizophrenia and personality disorders.

She also is the nutrition consultant for the best-selling book SuperFoodsRx and, in another best-selling book, SuperFoods HealthStyles is aknowledged with other outstanding healthcare professionals for "leading the charge into what...will be the model for medical healthstyle wellness care in the 21st century."

Additionally, Lori served as a lead dietitian and lifestyle counselor for Scripps Clinic’s Integrative Medicine Center where she taught and counseled clients on a variety of nutrition-related concerns and lifestyle change. She was featured with Scripps Integrative Medicine Center on The New Medicine, a primetime PBS documentary.

She was recently on Revolution Health's Medical Advisory Board as a contributing content writer for their internet-based health and wellness channels.

Lori has been counseling and facilitating nutritional and lifestyle change with individuals and groups for over ten years. She has worked as the head dietitian and lifestyle consultant for the La Costa Resort and Spa; was a nutrition consultant and presenter for Cal-a-Vie Spa; and has been a speaker at hundreds of nutrition and stress management presentations for medical and business seminars.

Lori received her Master of Arts degree in Integrative Psychology from California Institute of Human Science. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Montclair State University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She completed her dietetic internship through New York Institute of Technology at St. Joseph’s Hospital Medical Center where she created a nutrition and yoga program. She also belongs to the following dietetic practice groups: Nutrition in Complementary Care, Nutrition Entrepreneurs, and the Hunger and Environmental Nutrition group. Lori is also an ordained minister and a certified healer in meditative healing arts (Sat Nam Rasayan) and energy healing.

Lori is a former marathon runner and triathlete. She now enjoys jogging with her dogs to maintain health, fitness, inner peace and joy.
